In-Depth Nonprofit CRM Consulting & Data Migration Services

From fundraising to email lists to grant reporting, we can help

Spreadsheets. Post-its. An ancient database that lives on a 90’s desktop machine. A Salesforce instance that’s old enough to vote. No matter how you track your data or where it’s stored, we’ll chart a sustainable path forward.

Giant Rabbit will put your data to work for you

Many of our clients know their data organization isn’t working, but they don’t know where to start. With over twenty years of nonprofit data experience, we can help. We’ll work with you to integrate and organize your data, then help your team learn how to use it.

We’ll select a right-sized CRM solution to serve your organization for years to come. We can also help you choose an email platform, segment your lists, design and build templates, evaluate your results, and build integrations between the many places you work with your data.

A new system is only useful if your team knows how to use it. We provide hands-on change management and training so your team members can succeed in their day-to-day work, and we take the transition one step at a time to keep things manageable for everyone.

Once the work is done, we stick around for strategy, support, and ongoing development.

We handle nonprofit data migration, too

Whether you’ve got a few spreadsheets, a labyrinthine legacy system, or a messy pile of duplicates from a past migration gone wrong, we can get your data where it needs to be. We start by getting to know your data and how your team actually uses it. From there, we script, test, and carefully run the import, with checks along the way. We’re active partners in the process, and we’ll help you feel confident in the new system once we’re done.

We’re platform-agnostic and can match you with the right tools

We’ve got experience with a wide range of CRMs, email systems, data integrations, DIY databases, and more. We have a lot of opinions about their strengths and weaknesses, and we know how to evaluate them if they’re new.

Whether we’re refining your existing system or moving you to something new, we’ve been there before, and we can help.

CRMs we know inside and out

We’re comfortable working with just about any CRM, because jumping in to new systems is a regular part of our work. Some platforms we’ve used a lot over the years include:

Salesforce

Salesforce is a CRM powerhouse with a vast ecosystem of apps and integrations and 10 free* licenses (“free licenses!”, like, “free kittens!”) for most nonprofits. With all that flexibility and extensibility comes complexity, which is where we come in. If you’ve already got a Salesforce instance, we can help tame it and make it work for you. If you’re considering it, we can help you decide if the Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) is right for you. If you’re using Salesforce with other platforms (which is usually how it shines), we can help you with integrations, whether to QuickBooks or your website or pretty much any system with an API. Along the way, we can collaborate with your power users and train and support your staff users, so that everyone can make the most of their data.

CiviCRM

CiviCRM is an open-source CRM built specifically for nonprofits, with no licensing fees and tight integration with Drupal, Backdrop, and WordPress. As an all-in-one CRM, it’s a good option for organizations that need a little bit of everything from their CRM. Also, as a self-hosted system, CiviCRM offers more direct data ownership and control. We provide full-service CiviCRM support, from evaluating whether or not it’s a fit through migration to long-term security and support. And, as always, if you’ve got an old CiviCRM instance that’s in a bit of a state, drop us a line, and we can help you get it sorted out.

Bloomerang

Bloomerang is built around donor retention, with tools for tracking engagement over time, segmenting your donor list, and ensuring stewardship doesn’t fall through the cracks. It works well for small to mid-sized organizations focused on fundraising that want something approachable out-of-the-box without sacrificing depth. Bloomerang Fundraising/Giving+ adds a layer of intuitive, beautiful, customizable giving forms that round out nonprofit donor management needs. We handle setup, data migration, integrations, and staff training so your team hits the ground running.

iMIS

iMIS is an Association Management System (AMS) that’s a great choice for membership-based organizations: associations, unions, and professional societies that need to manage dues, renewals, events, and member engagement all in one place. iMIS has been around since the 1990s, evolving to meet the needs of organizations that benefit from extensive customization options and built-in tools for working with and engaging members and membership structures. Our work with iMIS typically covers implementation, migration from older systems, and building integrations with your website and other tools. We also support ongoing customizations, automation, and feature improvements as iMIS and your programs grow.

HubSpot

HubSpot isn’t built specifically for nonprofits, but its contact management and email marketing tools are polished and relatively user-friendly. It tends to work better for organizations whose primary need is constituent communication rather than donor or membership management. However, we’ve successfully paired HubSpot with specific donation and membership tools and created seamless integrations to meet the unique needs of nonprofits. On the HubSpot side, we usually come in for configuration, list management, template builds, and integration with your other systems.
