Who We Are

Giant Rabbit develops and supports websites and data systems for nonprofits. From technology strategy and CRM consulting to website design, development, and long-term support, we handle almost everything related to nonprofit technology.

Our Story

Giant Rabbit was founded in 2006 to provide high-quality, mission-focused technology services to progressive organizations that make the world a better place.

Our team has a wide range of technical and nontechnical backgrounds—from nonprofit leaders who have chosen to move to Giant Rabbit to software developers with deep industry experience. For 20 years, we have worked with over 300 nonprofits and currently provide ongoing services to more than 100 organizations. Some of our clients have been with us since year one.

How We Work

No two nonprofits are the same, so no two projects are the same.

Over the past 20 years, we’ve worked on thousands of projects for hundreds of organizations. That’s taught us a lot about the shared needs and pressures that nonprofits navigate, but it’s also reinforced our sense that no two projects are exactly alike.

We right-size our recommendations to fit each client’s unique goals and resources. It’s our responsibility to be a good steward of our nonprofit clients’ resources, make sustainable development choices, and build long-term relationships founded on trust and collaboration. We don’t charge retainers or monthly fees; we’re here when our clients need us.

Every decision is transparent and sustainability-focused.

We work with nonprofits tackling some of the world’s most critical problems, and they depend on our honesty and transparency. Whether we’re starting a new project from scratch, taking over an existing website that may or may not be haunted, or stepping in to rescue a CRM migration gone awry, we’ll draw on two decades of experience to give you our best advice. Our recommendations are always geared toward sustainability, because we work with our clients long-term.

When you talk to us, you won’t be talking to a salesperson, an AI agent, or an impersonal ticketing system. You’ll always be connecting with someone who cares about your mission, whether that’s your dedicated project manager, one of our skilled developers or designers, or one of our experienced strategists.

Working with the Giant Rabbit Team

Giant Rabbit’s team members span the United States. We are strategists, developers, designers, and CRM consultants, many of us with backgrounds working inside nonprofits before we became consultants.

Got questions?

Does Giant Rabbit offer support once a project is complete?

Yes. Most of our clients work with us long after their initial project wraps up, and 80-90% of our work in a given year comes from ongoing work with existing clients. We offer ongoing website maintenance, security monitoring, managed hosting, and CRM support.

Which technology platforms do you work with?

We are platform-agnostic, but we have a lot of experience with Drupal, Backdrop CMS, WordPress, and Salesforce, as well as CiviCRM, Bloomerang, and a range of other CRM and email platforms.

Do you charge a monthly retainer?

No. We do not charge retainers or monthly fees, because we find that nonprofits’ needs naturally ebb and flow during the year. For ongoing support, we usually recommend establishing a monthly not-to-exceed budget, to set a shared expectation for the pace of work. That’s not a minimum charge, however; we only bill for the time we need to respond to your requests and work on your priorities. If we’re maintaining your site, we do ask that you pre-approve necessary security updates, but if there are no updates, there are no charges. We’re here when you need us.

Can you help our team get comfortable with new technology?

Of course! Change management and training are important parts of our work. A new CRM or website is only useful if your team knows how to use it, so we build onboarding and training into our projects and stay available for questions after launch.

What if our project went sideways with another vendor?

It happens, and we can help. Whether the problem was incomplete planning, the wrong technology for your needs, or an unfinished job, we know how to step in and sort things out. We will help you understand your options and find a path forward that works for your staff, your budget, and your supporters.
