Selection

If you’re evaluating whether Salesforce is right for you, we’re ready to help. Salesforce is a powerful and flexible platform—sometimes too powerful and too flexible. Giant Rabbit is platform-agnostic, so we’ll give you an honest read about how Salesforce fits into your nonprofit’s work. How do we know if Salesforce is the right CRM for our nonprofit?

When we’re helping nonprofit organizations select a CRM, we ground our decision-making in your team’s capacity, budget, data needs, and daily workflows. Salesforce is a powerful, flexible toolset that can be a winning solution for many organizations, but its complexity means it’s not always a great match. Sometimes it’s not immediately clear which system would be the best fit for your organization, which is why we audit your existing tools and practices to help your nonprofit select the right CRM.

We’re platform-agnostic, so we don’t have any stake in which system you choose. We’ll give you our honest advice about whether Salesforce, or any other CRM, would help your team.

Can you help with an existing Salesforce instance, or do you only handle new setups?

Giant Rabbit handles both existing Salesforce instances and new setups. If we’re setting up a new instance, we’ll establish a clean, intuitive home for your data and provide hands-on training and open office hours to help your staff feel empowered and comfortable in their new system.

If we’re taking over an established instance, we can lead your team through a system audit and cleanup, rejuvenate your layouts, streamline workflows, clean up data, and add (or write!) any integrations that will help you get more out of what you have. If we’re taking over an instance that’s both old and haunted (it happens!), we can stabilize the system piece by piece and rehabilitate your staff’s relationship with their data.

How long does a Salesforce migration take?

It depends on the state of your data and the number of systems involved. Bringing information from a couple of spreadsheets might take a few weeks, but untangling decades’ worth of data from legacy systems across multiple departments can take much longer.

We’ll give you a realistic estimate of our timeframe and cost before any work begins on your migration. Whenever possible, we will phase our work to get you started in Salesforce sooner rather than later, especially if your data is heavily siloed across many platforms.

Are Salesforce licenses free for nonprofits?

Most US-based nonprofits can get up to 10 free licenses through the Salesforce Power of Us program. There are some limitations (including hospitals, trade associations, and chambers of commerce), but most nonprofits qualify, and charitable organizations in some other countries (e.g., Canadian registered charities) may also be eligible.

Of course, free licenses doesn’t necessarily mean “free”—Salesforce apps and other integrated services may have their own fees and licensing costs. As part of any Salesforce planning process, we’ll help you evaluate your full range of costs (including our time!) so that you can make an informed choice.

What is the Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack, and do we need it?

Salesforce’s Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) is a free set of packages that sit on top of Salesforce and provide nonprofit-specific structures such as Households, Donations, Memberships, and Grants, as well as robust affiliation and relationship tracking. Although Salesforce has shifted its development focus to Agentforce Nonprofit, the NPSP remains a strong option for mission-driven organizations and boasts a large and active user community.

What is Agentforce Nonprofit?

Agentforce Nonprofit (formerly Nonprofit Cloud) is Salesforce’s most recent nonprofit-focused product, built directly into the core Salesforce platform and powered by AI agents. Its complexity and setup costs make it more suitable for enterprise-level organizations. No matter your size, we’ll help your organization choose the right-sized path through the vast Salesforce ecosystem.

Do you provide support after you complete our Salesforce implementation or migration?

Yes. Once a project wraps up, we stick around for ongoing support. We’ll test and deploy seasonal updates, train new team members, field questions, and develop new processes.
