The Flathead National Forest covers almost 2.5 million acres, half of which is designated wilderness. Flathead Avalanche Center and the Friends of the Flathead Avalanche Center keep the surrounding backcountry communities safe and informed by running ongoing data reporting, avalanche and weather forecasting, education, communication. We provide maintenance, support, and feature development for their Drupal-based website, and implemented the shared National Avalanche Center tools on their site to provide avalanche forecasts throughout the winter season. We provide ongoing support and maintenance.
